The idea is simple! Characters come in costume as whatever or whoever takes their fancy. The costume doesn't have to disguise their identity, but it can if they (or you) desire it.
This is an American-style Hallowe'en, so costumes can be scary or non-scary. And of course there's plenty of candy provided.
The party consists of socialisation time before a reasonably formal sit-down meal. Traditionally, anyone still wearing an identity-concealing costume must 'unmask' immediately before the meal starts.
Your character can walk into the cloakroom and ask Wilbur the troll for a costume if you can't think of any ideas. (Someone will reply as Wilbur and give you a costume, so make sure you put a Twine link to your character in your post!)
For the purposes of this party, an administrative blind eye will be turned to any 'copyrighted' costumes.
We're gearing up for 2007's Autumn Party, so get ready with your costumes (or ask Wilbur for ideas - see above).
Party starts on the 31st September and lasts until 31st October, or longer if required.
psst, September has 30 days.
Damn, am I glad I'm not the only one who gets confused about those things XD
...............I knew that.
Read "last day of September"... *facepalmheaddesk*
I'll let Anke catch this one, since the setup and greeter are hers.
I just know my lot will think this new guy is in character. Mwehehe. *cheers*
OK, but I'd appreciate if after this at least SOME of the following people will just go ahead with the idea that everyone gets the same greeting, and don't require me to repeat it again. ;)
Vespers, do you notice you're the only one writing in present tense rather than past?
Well, considering the standard spiel doesn't quite make sense in response to the question, it was worth showing specifically whether or not our greeter altered the words.
Yes, makes sense, and I wasn't sure myself. I meant in general. :)
ugh, sorry. I was distracted when I was writing it. I'll write past tense from now on.
I caught Vespers on AIM, and he's sorry, but it'll take a few days yet, because exams are taking all his brain power at the moment.
Lamia wants to know if she should leave those two alone. Her writer notes that this is a serious question.
Dewd, you don't think that when trapped in a confined space with an attractive demoness! Manners! ;)
Um, I have no idea where Lamia is supposed to be now...
She left the greenhouse by the route Angel took on the way in.
Curse my one-shot characters and their evil networking ways. XD
Oops, didn't mean to ignore Man in Black's question, but I forgot about it. Let's say... Lamia was still deafened. Yeah. *edits*
Lamia did just plonk down a carafe and glasses for all.
Oh yay.
Glad I'm not the only one having "can't read" moments. XD
