An annual tradition starting this year, the winter party is a celebration for characters at the Promenade Hall.
Since it's a Christmas party, guests traditionally bring presents for everyone else - although they don't have to be expensive if you don't want them to be. Sing a song, make mince pies, bring an easel to paint a group portrait or brew up potions to turn people's hair blue - think outside the box!

Several of us in recent weeks have managed to hold semi-regular group chats over the AIM messenging network. (Some of us have MSN, IRC, Skype etc too, but AIM's currently the most universal.) Members can often be found online at times between 21:00 and 00:00 GMT - that's 15:00-18:00 CST or 08:00-11:00 ACT (I think - not sure about daylight savings time there).
It's a good opportunity to catch up with each other's news, discuss storyboards and characters, write cooperative posts, come up with silly ideas and generally hang out, so feel free to find a squirrel online and say "oi, is there a chatroom going?". Mutt's screenname for most messenging networks is Suitov.
And if you don't want to install AIM or one of the multi-network messenger programs that support it, Ree recommends Meebo as a web-based alternative.
Intelligence? Yes, there's a Twine Encyclopaedia article about it, but it's intelligence in a particular sense. Mutt's shapeshifter demon species is intelligent (well, debatably) but they don't actually think with brains as such.
