How do you keep duty and extraneous irrelevant things, like a personal life, separate?

I keep my priorities firmly in mind, accept that not all my time can be used 'profitably' or 'productively', and often find I need to rethink my definition of both.

I focus on others to head off any bouts of moping.

I also draw a distinction between things I enjoy and things that make me happy, which can help.

It sounds like you have a fluid distinction, Siri, which is not what I'm aiming at. Say there's a duty you must focus on above all else. How would you detach yourself from all the rest?

Honestly... Most likely I'd see to detaching myself from said duty.

*Looks at Nico as though she's just suggested he perform a convoluted sexual act with a dog.*
