Never ask a woman with a dirty mind what she would like to play with......
*mind drifts off to it's naughty place ... *
Ahem.
Ah yes, anyway, moving on.
My niece has a school project that I have been given "custody" of. She has written a journal all about who she is and where she lives (Arizona). She sent it to me, and I have dutifully documented a few thoughts (brilliant, they were too!). Who shall I send it to next? *stares hopefully around squirrelville*.
Here's what it involves: read the journal, add a page to it, send my niece a postcard and send it back to me (or on to someone else). Her whole class is doing this and they are going to use the postcards to track their journal's progress throughout the year. Very cool, I think. Soooo, my oh so literary squirrel friends, anybody wanna help a kid out? Email me if you're interested. (slac@ev1.net)
In other kid-type news, the Princess brought home her first report card and it was stunning! (Was there ever any doubt?) She posted perfect scores in science (just like her mamma!) and spelling (uh...that must have come from daddy!) and such perfect marks for deportment and conduct that I'm pretty sure that they must have given me the wrong kid's report. hehehe. The kid that shows up for school every morning is not the same GodzillaBaby that I get back in the evenings.
'nuff bragging on my kidlet now.
That's a cool project! I'm game!
Hey, me too! Sounds awesome! Plus, I have the added bonus of being full of Australia.
I sent an email.
How about Cross'd Roads postage stamps? :P
Fabulous!
Ijust needs addresses.
Has anyone pointed out yet that "Allo" could be short for "allosaurus"? Probably yes.
Surprisingly, I don't think so. Sweets will be pleased to know her topic's so full of (pre)historical context.
...And it's now on page 40 - wow.
What 'appened to 'allo 39????
38 had 48 posts instead of 20 ;)
Ahahawhoops. *fixes that, just so the old pages are readable length*
Okay, kiddies, here's the address for the postcards for the ones of you who want it. I'm gonna post it here so I don't loose it. *g*
Catherine G.

Oro Valley, AZ 85755
The packet is on it's way to you first Mutt. You can forward it to Anke and he to Erin and Erin can return it to me stateside. Hopefully the poor book survives and doesn't get swallowed up by the mail system.
Thanks ya'll!
*sets aside a viewcard of her hometown*
*makes note on the way home from work to find Manchester postcard*
Erin and I share a house -- shall we write on the one card? Or two seperately?
To return to the topic of postage stamps... I think if I see another profile of Queen Elisabeth I'm going to scream. I bought a shoebox of stamps on paper, and roughly 80% are those boring small little thingies...
Oh, well, if I keep on collecting, some day soon I can use them to paper my room. X)
Okay. Messed up. Here's the REAL address for those postcards:
Catherine G.
Mr. Jewett's 5th Grade
Painted Sky Elementary

Tucson, AZ 85737
It's in the inside cover of the journal but I cleverly missed that and went by the return address off the package I got it in. Sometimes I can be so oblivious. I guess I got side-tracked by seeing my name on page one of the thing. *g*
Noted, Sarina
*eyes Twine*
Suddenly I feel watched. XD
Must...find....brain....have to...post...on Pro...
Here, Erin, brain for you:
