This is my other challenge of the day, redesign-wise...

Diaryland is very versatile and customisable, so anything you want (as long as it's within my meagre capabilities) goes. I think literally their only requirement is that there's a link to the Diaryland.com homepage somewhere in your template. (It doesn't even check whether you've used cheaty tricks to make the link unobtrusive...)

Oh, and joy of joys, another hurricane. Wilma is heading towards Florida. The last two that hit Florida then jumped into the Gulf of Mexico and beat us up. The Folks Who Name Storms are officially out of letters for the year, something that hasn't happened in like, 90 years. I'd appreciate it if we were out of storms that needed names as well! Would it be completely horrible to pray the damn thing turns and pesters somebody else?

I will be in Manchester, UK on the 9th, should any Britly types wanna try a meetup. I'll be in England about a week but part of that will be in London, because my brother wants to drag his family to see musical theatre. *sigh*

My characters, specifically Iceheart and the kitty, are plotting against me. And by plotting I mean planning out their own stories. Against my specific orders, and a little thing we like to call "you're supposed to die when the plot calls for it, Tiddles".

Here's my first effort from today - unfinished, I warns ya! I ran into a problem with the Photoshop version on this machine, which is why the text looks absolutely horrible - I could, of course, fix it if my own computer were working. Mmph. I may have to cheat and norkle something together at work, I dunno. Anyhoo, if you like/dislike anything there, or there's a different font you'd prefer for the older/latest, etc, then let me know: otherwise I'll continue messing around with other designs.

By the way, I know those particular plants are lettuces and not cabbages... honestly, free photo sources these days, you get what you pay for... *g*

Oh - and I'm not happy with the way the border image loops yet (I spent ages on that one), but I'll come back to it when I'm slightly fresher. ;) The way it's laid out at the moment, it's only noticeable on longer entries.

Well, if that's the hasty, thrown-together-just-this-afternoon version, the one that was lost must have been spectacular! Really, I like it. My only comment at this point would be about the background color. Maybe a little more green and a little less brown? I think it looks grand. I'm overwhelmed that you've taken so much time with it. Really. I hardly deserve. *launches into Wayne's Worldesque "I am not worthy"*

(I should probably go to bed now before my sleep-deprived brain utters any other obscure SNL references that nobody else will find amusing)
