I'll probably be scarce the next couple of days. We are getting new furniture (good-bye 20 year old dresser!) for our room and for the princess. It may take a while for her majesty to properly arrange her new things.

Now if I can just convince her that it is possible to actually sleep all night long in her own bed in her own room, that would be major!

We have ADSL... I'm still getting used to it.

I haven't really been around here, have I? Eäh. It's been months and months since I last wrote anything or RP'd. Some kind of a combination of withdrawal and writer's block, or something. I tried to get back into RPing but there wasn't much anywhere to do that rehab at.

*scratches head*

Do we have any boards going on?

We can have anything your plotbunnying heart desires. Shall I come up with something? Any preferences? You were also in a couple of shorts, if memory serves.

The shorts are probably stalled indefinitely, all of mine should be just with Snog and Dev.

I don't know if anyone is up for a more serious board. Plotted, but nothing too fancy. Not just "hey, let's have a story to have an excuse to crack jokes", but a real story. Generic fantasy maybe. Something that doesn't require a zillion posts just to get the setting done and yourself familiarized with it - I'd just like to see if I can write.

The Party is going strong and crazy. The Inn has quieted somewhat, making it a perfect target for a nut-bombing.

That came out allllll wrong -- I meant "for a quick infusion of lunacy." Anyway, those are the main movers of late.

Candy - as long as you are not aversed to having a joke in there every now and then, I'd be game, basically. I'm just pretty new to everything, so I need an occasional prod in the right direction <_<

Oh, I'm fine with humor. .) Just meant that I don't want a board based on or permeated by it. Like Sleepless Beauty (old board that I'm not sure is up anywhere?) or any Fochs board (they always tend to slide towards humor-with-bits-of-plot-put-in, instead of the other way around).

Less like Pratchett, more like, uh, say, Dragonlance or something. In mood, I mean.

I'd enjoy doing something serious for a change too.

Any thoughts on plot and whatnot, or do we throw some characters together and see what drama happens?

Some good old-fashioned, simple fantasy in the mood of Dragonlance was my idea. With a plot of some sort - like I said it helps me concentrate a lot, if I wanted people just thrown together I'd be all over the Inn, wouldn't I. .)

Oh dear. x) It's basically DnD. Not just basically, really, it's a bunch of fantasy books that began as a DnD adventure in the setting of Krynn. Somewhat like Forgotten Realms books, except a tiny bit less ridiculous.

Just basic fantasy, okay? Man walks into a bar and there's a drunken dwarf and a snobbish elf drinking wine, and then they all go on a great adventure involving dragons with some sorceress lady. I'll leave all the great comparisons from now on. :p

Nah. Having read the Wikipedia article about it, it's a useful comparison. D&Dish... shared world... stuff.

Shall we have a deliberately generic fantasy setting then, with not much worldbuilding allowed? That'd make a change.

I hope we can avoid the "ragtag band of heroes saves the world from a dark lord/nameless evil" sh...stuff, though. Please?
