It's... bright and sunny here. I could see to walk home at 21:55 last night. Very strange, very strange indeed...

We briefly lost my daugter on sunday.
Couldn't find her in the house, couldn't find her in the yard....
Panic began to set in ....
She was finally located in the spare bedroom, sitting on the bed with a pile of stuffed animals, reading the bible to them. *shakes her head* A million books in this house and she finds the one and only bible. Amazing. I walked in to hear "and the Lord said", so she obviously knew what book she had eventhough she can not read yet. Her great-grandmother would be so proud...

I'm a little worried.....
But her father's grandmother would be bursting her buttons if she could have seen it!!!!

Solar sail fails to enter orbit

AN ATTEMPT to launch a spacecraft propelled by sunlight was reported to have failed last night when the booster rocket broke down shortly after lift-off in the Barents Sea.

The launch of Cosmos 1 was part of a joint Russian-American attempt at the first controlled flight using a solar sail. An official in Russia’s Northern Fleet told the RIA-Novosti news agency that the engine had failed 83 seconds after the launch from a submerged Russian submarine.

The official said that a search was under way for the solar sail and the Volna booster rocket.

Oh, yeah, birthday. It was my birthday, wasn't it? Nearly two weeks ago? *Absent-minded-much*

I had my college gig last night. It went better than I was expecting, to be honest. I thought I was going to be forced to curl up and die in a corner from the embarrassment of my song not being at all ready to perform, but it went fine! XD

The venue we performed in (Prague five/Praha V on Canal Street, Manchester, if you're interested) is on two floors, with the stage at basement level, and a balcony at ground level. The day before the gig, I bought a wireless guitar system, with a 200ft range. I'm talking radio, dude! So, naturally, during my song, I suddenly just walked up the staircase by the stage, legged it around on the balcony for a bit, and slid down the banister of the other staircase, all while playing the solo of my song.

It is fair to say I'm a bit of a loony. I was sure acting like one yesterday.

We got an encore. We did Familiar, which was my song from last time. As soon as Mutt gets hir hands on some mp4 editing software, I'll put a film of that from the previous gig up. I might put the lyrics up, too, since they're inaudible unless you know what to listen for.

Yes, it is. There's a parade and all that going on downtown. People were in the bars every night last week, watching. The drinking was mostly from nervousness, I think.
