Aw Sweets, my mom's dog is eight or nine now and I still call her "the pup". Wrong? Absolutely, but that's how I am. ;)

She's resorted to torture by talking. I don't think she's shut up for the last hour .... and the conversation goes something like this:

"Mom, can we go get the dogs now? When can we go get the dogs? I want to go get the dogs. Slinky and Ginger told me they want to come home. Mom, can we go get the dogs now? When can we go get the dogs? I want to go get the dogs. Don't you want to go get the dogs nowww."

You see what I'm up against? Diabolical verbage.

There's fun at my work today! I got accosted by strikers on my way in. I wished them good luck and told them firmly that I am working today, thank you.

But if it makes 'em feel any better, I'll take a leisurely lunch hour and I'll refrain from throwing things at the picket line. Brother-sister-sibling-solidarity!

I wish my employees would go out on strike for a day and give me a vacation from paying them. Their usual punishment is to show up and get paid for doing nothing....
