I woke up this morning in my own time, washed my headcrest (which now smells of Co-op Coconut and Honey conditioner), planned some last-minute shopping concerning a large brown dog, and am not tired and cross.

A man I knew has died.

But my boss is safe. She was about to go to the Maldives at the end of Dec, but luckily she hasn't.

Those of you I've talked to about my slight job worries will have heard that the department budget only gets sorted out in March, so they haven't been able to say whether I'll get another contract.

Well, I just got called to speak to the manager, and he has put me outta my misery.
