They really like the chopsticks! (I knew my chopstick dance would get them one day! Zzazzangmyeon!)
I also tried to contact the RSPB. No luck there. Hmph. Will try RSPCA in Warrington tomorrow.
The SPCA probably won't take the birds, but they may be able to point you to a wildlife rescue or rehab group.
Have found an independant bird sanctuary in Knutsford that's very happy to take on my babies. I'll be taking them there tomorrow.
*sob* Oh! They grow up so fast don't they?
Wonderful!
WhooHoo!
You're a little birdy hero!
Apparently, they were greenfinches. And they'll be fine.
If I want to ring up and see how they're doing, they're birdies number 794 and 795. I can also drive up to Ollerton to visit them, so I plan to call in in a few weeks and drop off a donation.
They're in the cage next to the long eared bat with only one and a half wings that they were handfeeding when I brought in the birdies. Squeee! *dies*
Baaaat....
*coos*
Nice job, Birdy Matron! Greenfinches, eh? Well, well.
Important news: the group is now named Profusion.
See the full name discussion in the Board Admin area.
AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
I don't believe it! No, wait! Don't look! Avert your collective gaze! Look away, for...
SOMEONE HAS BACKED INTO MY SHOEBOX!!!!!!!
Poor shoebox! *pats its bumper*
*sobs hysterically*
''Why would anyone... It's just unthinkable! Oh my poor defenceless little car! Oh!''
Candy, Snog, could be a code red.
A relative from Merka is thinking of coming over here on the 17th December. We have no idea when or how long he'll be here. More as I hear it...
Oooh, drat. Then it's January for us.
Not necessarily. Just after posting that, she said she "don't mind if they come over for part of that time - is there anything else they want to do [for the rest of the time], like go to London?"
I don't want to share youse with Londoners, but there you go.
...says something that I saw this first in LJ, yeah.
We can work on this... once again once my schedules get a bit clearer. ^^;
I'd likely go insane in London, but only because of the immense crowds.
I do hope we get the schedules clearer soonish.
This still has momentum, but since it's the university, it's going to take a while, isn't it.
It's more the fact that I just don't know about things, and no one will tell me before next week. I've never been in the university before, remember.
I'd personally just as soon skip London if I wanted to spend time seeing England. My priorities generally don't feature all the cliched landmarks very highly, and Manchester is much cooler - people are gradually waking up to that.
However, as London landmarks go the Natural History Museum is an absolute must. They have a somewhat worn stuffed red panda... and THE blue whale. Madame Tussaud's is another great cliche, but we enjoyed it. And there's Television Centre. (But New Broadcasting House, Manchester is much trendier. By definition. I work here.)
Been to London in the turn of the year, nearly three years ago.
I liked it, but it's not like I'd much fancy doing it again. I'd much rather do Manchester!
Manchester - England, England...
Just don't eat the pizza if you're too used to the kind you get back home. *Coughhack.*
There's an incredible variety of fud available, honestly, including all kinds of pizza. My brothers are just incorrigible homebodies.
My suggestion is that you prod them into going out somewhere, which is not much more pricey than takeaways. There're even a few Italian places near where I work. Hell, the village has another pizza chain. It's getting embarrassing that the people on the end of the phone know our voices, anyway.
You may be able to tell I'm neutral on the whole issue. I've given up even trying to make them get mushroom and sweetcorn on the things...
(You know, they got a pizza with me two nights ago, and I hear they had another last night. Tonight, guess what they'll want? *facepaw* Makes me lust after fruit.)
