And I have a story to work on between Lunzie, Sam, and Will .... hopefully it'll take form here.
A cloaked figure approached the bar, catching the bouncers' attention. The smaller one seemed ready to hassle the figure, the larger one just opened the door for it. "What are you doing? You can't just let anyone in here you know!" hissed the smaller of the two.
"I'm doing my job... That one, she's been here before, you don't want to mess with her." The taller one replied shakily as he resumed his position beside the door.
Inside, the cloaked figure seemed to float through the room to a shadowed corner booth on the far side of the bar. The few conversations taking place halted as the figure passed and resumed in hushed whispers after it was gone.
Not too much later, a small, child-size figure approached the bar. This time, the larger of the two bouncers moved to intercept them. "It's mighty late for you to be up. Why don't you just scamper back home to bed, huh?" He reached a hand out to the child's shoulder to turn them around and froze as light flashed.
"Touch me and I'll remove your hand from your body permanently." growled a voice that definately did not belong to a child. The dimunitive figure held the tip of a kitana to the bouncers throat as hir eyes glowed red in the dark.
The bouncer backed away and his companion opened the door to the bar as the newcomer put away their sword. After closing the door again the shorter of the bouncers started laughing. "What's so bleeding funny?" Growled the taller one.
"You! Why, I can't believe you would recognize that cloaked feller, but not know to leave Wraith alone!"
Inside the figure called Wraith looked around the bar for someone or something. Sie ignored the bartender and everyone else, who again quieted as hir entrance. Either in shock that it looked like a 12 year old kid had just walked in, or in recognition.
After a few moments, Wraith seemed to find what sie was looking for and headed straight for the shadowed booth where the cloaked one sat waiting. Eyes followed Wraith as sie approached the booth and whispers arose from those wondering what was going to happen next.
Wraith stopped next to the booth and stared at the cloaked figure who nodded and spoke one word. "Sit."
Wraith glared at the figure in the booth and a low growl rose in hir throat, but sie did as sie was told. "Alright. What's this meeting about? I don't like talking in public." Wraith got right to the point, not wanting to waste hir time.
The other figure nodded and pulled the hood away from her face revealing a feline appearance. White fur stood out starkly in the low lighting of the bar. Iridescent green eyes seemed to glow, much the same way Wraith's were glowing red. When she spoke, the very tips of what could only be fangs could be seen.
"I thought you knew what this was all about. After all, it was your friend, Sam, who set this up."
Wraith quickly tried to hide hir suprise at the others appearance. But at the mention of Sam sie gave up. Growling low, she glared at those watching them.
Watching Wraith carefully, the furred one glanced at the others as well before a shimmering wall appeared between the to conversants and the rest of the bar. "Now then. No one can hear what we say, they can only see that we are talking. What is it that you wished to talk to me about?"
"I don't wish to talk to anyone about anything." Wraith snarled. "If this is Sam's doing then she should have told us what was going on and why she wanted us to meet here." Wraith crouched low into hir seat, looking very small in comparison to the booth and hir companion.
Wraith's response brought a small chuckle from her companion. "I see. Well, perhaps introductions first?" Settling both fur covered hands (claws?) on the table the felinoid looked at Wraith with a calming stare. "My name is Lunzie Istari Benden. You may call me Lu or Zie, whichever you prefer. I've been called both." Though she looked calmly at Wraith there was a trace of humor in her eyes as she tried to think of why Sam would set this meeting up.
"Fine, Zie. Name's Wraith. I don't know you so I hope you'll forgive me for not giving you my full name." Wraith replied icily. Outwardly Wraith was calm ... if a little hostile, but inwardly Lunzie's appearance had completely thrown her and she was trying to get her mind back to why this meeting had been called. Sam had only told her to be here other than that ... Wraith had no clue what her Clanmate was up to.
"Very well, Wraith. You seem a bit edgy, would that be due to my appearance? If you would prefer I can take on a more ... human look for our conversation." If it helped the kid relax, it couldn't hurt. Besides, Lunzie hadn't missed the katana the other was carrying and she rather liked her head attached to her shoulders.
