Anke - no, that's fine and you were correct. I'll fix the stray post.

Fixed... and sorry for confusion. It's partly my fault for not closing the previous page.

Hey, the inn's long enough to need an archive page now!

Sorry for taking so long, I'm a bit brain-fried.

Careful with the lizard, he doesn't take well to being handled/grabbed.
He'll follow you happily if you offer him food, though.

Just in case Anke is confused, Aggy and Bowman aren't the same person. Bowman's actually been in the inn for a while, he just lost interest in the place when Kerak disappeared.

I'm told "tuck in" isn't a phrase used in the US! It means, more or less, "start eating with gusto". It's a very English-boarding-school term which Suitov would be using in a heavily ironic tone of voice (especially as he's deliberately ignoring Baskerville at this point).

I think his tone and body language would convey that he's offering food round, anyway. Big wicker basket of pastries and rolls and things. There are bottles of fruit juice. He's at a loss to imagine why they've been packaged resting on fake straw. *g*

I should start putting this detail into posts, I know, but what can I say - I suck at writing recently. XD

I know that; thanks anyway.
Thing is, there's a "poof", woman disappears, blob sits in her place - what's the natural assumption, especially if the magic you're used to does NOT include teleporting. ;)

Poor girl is entirely too sensible for this place.

Yep, natural assumption. It's lots of fun, playing with IC/OOC.

Jaina still thinks Weft stabbed Lance.

Mutt, you don't suck at writing; you just need to hang around a Yankee to pick up some understanding of what's used in American English and what ain't. *bweg*

Weft never disabused Jaina of that notion, opting to insult her clothing choices, and Lance was unconscious for part of it. Nobody else was actually there at the time (I think?) so of course she retains her false idea. Not sure what it would take to rid her of it, actually, or if it matters -- it's hilarious to watch Weft and Jaina in the same room.

I don't want to rid her of the notion! And Weft doesn't realise what's bugging her. He just thinks she's a cheaply-dressed tramp who wants to make his life harder for no apparent reason, same as Lance and Swiff and everyone else.

I was more berating myself for being bad at putting descriptions in my writing. I'm entirely unapologetic for writing Suitov as extremely English!

"Lawks a mercy" is an equivalent to "Goodness gracious!" such as you might hear from peasantry.

Unless any of you wants to play more with the builders, I'm gonna jump ahead to a point where the building work's close to finished.

I'm assuming there's maple syrup or something similar for the pancakes. So, um, is there? If not, I can edit my post to say honey instead. Jaina has a sweet tooth and must dump some kind of sweetener on her carbs. *g*

Lance would like to point out that he's very sweet.

I know there's honey, but you can invent that they got maple syrup from somewhere. (Possibly same place as Djew comes from, possibibbly not.) Invent!

I doubt Lance would appreciate if people chopped bits off him to eat them with their pancakes...
