Who is Profusion?
A rundown of some of the members follows.
Mutt owns and runs HellHound.net (where the Profusion boards are currently hosted). Mutt's favourite things to write are supernatural dogs (good and bad), silly monsters, dry twisted humour and "anything that subverts hallowed traditions in illuminating, irreverant or creative ways" (ooh, the great big ponce).
Genre-wise, Mutt enjoys playing with many of the building blocks of sci-fi and many of the conventions of fantasy. Oh, and we've noticed a certain weakness for rhyming poetry.
Mutt is perhaps best known for the character Baskerville, though he may have been edged out in pupularity by Suitov or Weft, which Mutt secretly thinks is a crying shame -- dogs are much better than kitties.
Ree, real name Ree (no really), is a kitty. If beseeched in her webgoddess capacity or just randomly gifted, she will gladly accept offerings include Djew, chocolate, and compliments on her writing. She keeps a journal in several dozen places and reads too many web development blogs.
Ree's chief chica for the last six years has been Jaina Jade. (Others are duly listed.)
Wyldsong, real name Anthony Gauss-Kinear (well, almost), is purportedly a Bishifinn - whatever that is. He's also better known as Snog, but the blame for that name lies elsewhere.
Snog is a disgruntled (or at least pouty) author with troublesome characters, a wannabe gamer and most definitely a very confusing person.
Among aforementioned troublesome characters are Sebastian and Serpentine, who could almost be each other's anti-self. They both annoy the hell out of Snog, who sometimes drops in an unsuspecting self-insert called Whatever to bear the brunt of whatever self-deprecating joke/abuse he can think of.
Snog is also a slacker.
Julia, real name Julia, is caffeinated. She used to write a lot when she was younger and had no friends since it was her only outlet *swoon*. Her writing has gotten progressively worse since she got a life, unluckily for fellow Pro-ers.
Julia so far has four characters: Agueda, a wandering Molvidr prophetess; Bowman, a noisy and irritating squamus podocyte and Izzy and Micah, two bearded dragons who are allergic to everything and prone to clumsy acts of akyoot amusement.
Her first characters to appear on Pro were Izzy and Micah, who turned up at The Inn shortly after Pro moved to hellound.net. The most well-developed so far seems to be Agueda, and her history is being written up in the solo work section, although Julia actually prefers writing short scenes about Bowman, since his vocabulary is so varied and his dialogue so easy to write.
Julia doesn't really have a specific style or genre she writes in, or if she does she wouldn't know how to define it because she's a bit of an impostor in this whole writing malarky, but got cajoled into having an account here by Mutt (she went to school with and, until recently, dated Mutt's brother, Slen, who is also around on Pro somewhere).
